Despite predominantly playing at right-back this season, Luke Ayling went back into the middle of defence for the clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The 28-year-old had played at centre-back just seven times this season in the Championship before the trip to the County Ground, and it was no surprise that he didn’t look particularly comfortable.
As per Sofascore, he won just 50% of his ground duels, made only one tackle and interception, and lost possession ten times.

After seeing his display, Leeds fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the defender.
Some fans however seemed to view things differently, with a few claiming that he was the only positive in what was a disappointing game.
One Leeds fan in particular even called for Ayling to be given the captaincy until the end of the season.
Whether Marcelo Bielsa continues to stick with Ayling at centre-back for the foreseeable future remains to be seen.
The last time he played there before the game against Forest, he did score one and make one, although his side did concede four goals in that topsy-turvy 5-4 win over Birmingham.
A true test for any Leeds fan: Can you match these iconic images with the right results?
So that’s six total goals conceded in just two matches, and whilst it would be silly to suggest Ayling was the sole person responsible for that, it doesn’t help to make a great case for him to stay in central defence.
Meanwhile, Leeds need this ace to start scoring more goals for them.
