Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were not in attendance as Wrexham took another step up the EFL ladder, but have been quick to pass on their congratulations. Not everybody has delighted, though, in seeing the Welsh outfit continue their meteoric rise up the Football League ladder.
WHAT MCCLEAN SAID
Wrexham have ruffled a few feathers this season, but McClean has taken a swipe back at those that took great delight at taking points off the Red Dragons in a campaign that will see them have the last laugh. The Irishman has posted on social media: “What a season, what a set of lads, what a club! Absolute pleasure to be part of it. P.s congrats to Newport, Accie and Tranmere on the we beat Wrexham cup this season, enjoy your celebrations, we’ll enjoy ours.”
WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
Wrexham have suffered 10 defeats this season, but have picked up 24 wins to sit on 82 points from 44 games. They have shown big ambition, bringing in the likes of McClean and prolific frontman Paul Mullin, with another busy summer expected as Parkinson’s side ready themselves for League One.
